Targuna

Targuna is a small island located south of Vega. The only settlement here is a small, peaceful village, which nevertheless offers many important services. Visitors have access to a trader, a depot, a bank and a post office, as well as an imbuing shrine and skill training. To the north of the village lies a forest which should, however, be entered with some caution, as lizards dwell there, guarding an old ruin. Although the island lies rather far north, the climate here is very mild. This is due to a warm ocean current that flows past here from the Forbidden Islands. A ship of the Royal Tibia Line can take travellers from Targuna to Thais.

Legend has it that Targuna takes its name from the fact that it was built on the shell of a giant turtle slumbering just below the water's surface. But that is probably just a sailor's yarn. One thing is certain, however: a large sea turtle is often seen in the waters off the island's west coast and can be spotted from the shore.
